About Us
Dynaslate Ltd is a UK manufacturer of roof slates made from recycled materials.
The company was established as a result of a research and development project by Crumb Rubber Ltd, a leading processor of rubber crumb from recycled tyres. The R&D was funded by the Waste and Resource 
Action Programme (WRAP). Links to the product development phases are below.
In July 2009 Crumb Rubber secured an investment from Foresight Group, a leading alternative asset manager. This investment has given the company the means to broaden the scope of its business and drive future growth into innovative polymer applications such us Dynaslate.
Dynaslate Ltd has been created to deliver sustainable roofing products to the construction industry incorporating recycled materials. We look forward to supporting architects, designers, developers and self builders in achieving their environmentally objectives and superb roofs.

“We have fixed approximately 1,000 slates. I have found them very good because they are light in weight. (…) Cutting was carried out by circular bench saw, 5-6 at a time.
The biggest advantage is the fact you can walk / sit / kneel even, on them, without risk of breaking anything, which can often be a problem with asbestos / asbestos free or natural slate.
We did have to fix with two copper nails in a traditional manner, but we also had to fix the stainless steel clip to the front edge.
When finished, most people would not be able to tell the difference between natural slate and the recycled rubber and plastic slates. Overall, I believe them to be a good product. ”
